The Hidden Power of Smiling

TedTalk about the Power of Smiling

I wanted to share a great TedTalk  from Ron Gutman about all the good that comes from smiling.  Did you know that a simple smile has a measurable effect on your overall well being?  We all have the ability to smile.  A smile is contagious and it makes you and everyone around you feel good.  And… smiling  can help reduce the level of stress-enhancing hormones , increase the level of mood-enhancing hormones and reduce overall blood pressure.

Smiling makes you look good in the eyes of others

Smiling can actually make you look good in the eyes of others. A recent study @ Penn State University found that when you smile, you don’t only appear to be more likable and courteous, but you actually appear to be more competent.  And who doesn’t want that on a job interview, first date, or big presentation?

Is there something you would like to change with your Smile?

Smiles come in all shapes and sizes.  You are the only person that can determine if your smile fits you?  If you would like to straighten, whitening, or fix your smile in any way talk to us here at Grandview Dental Care.  There is more that one way to improve a smile and once we know what you are looking for we can offer ideas, suggestions, even a photographic mock-up of what you would look like in your new smile.
