Get Summer-Ready with a Smile ConsultationGrandview Dental | April 14, 2016
Summer is quickly approaching, which means it’s the perfect time of year to improve your smile. With wedding season and family vacations come a lot of photo opportunities. And with tax returns in the mail, you may have some money burning a hole in your pocket.
If you don’t know where to begin improving your smile, a free smile consultation is a great first step to take. Here are a few things you should know about our office’s smile consultations, and what options we offer to improve your grin.
What is a Smile Consultation?
The most important thing a smile consultation does is create a plan for achieving your ideal smile. By showing you where your smile is, and where your smile could be, our staff can determine a treatment plan to help you get from A to B.
All of our free consultations begin with taking a series of digital photos. Our staff prepares those images of your mouth so you can see exactly where there are room for improvements. When a treatment plan is finally completed, those photos are useful to document how much progress was made.
SNAP Cosmetic Imaging
Our office uses SNAP digital equipment to show you what your end result could be in real-time. Once photos of your smile are taken, SNAP will show you:
- How damaged or irregular teeth could be shaped
- Where dental implants or veneers could be an improvement
- What brightening treatments could achieve
Determining the Next Steps
With images in hand, our doctors and staff will go over them with you for about 30 minutes. During that time, we explain what procedures might work best for you and determine a treatment plan.
There are a several options available to enhance your smile. Some procedures our staff may suggest during your smile consultation include:
- Reducing gaps between teeth with dental bonding
- In-office and at-home tooth whitening procedures and products
- More permanent enhancements, like veneers and dental implants
Our staff can explain how each procedure works, how long the treatments last and take to perform, and which may be the best solution for your situation.
The Benefits of Improving Your Smile
Cosmetic dentistry offers a benefit to not only your oral health, but also your state of mind. In addition to finding ways to brighten your smile, our doctors may notice early stages of other concerns, and recommend appropriate procedures if necessary.
With the knowledge that their mouth is looking its best, patients often feel a boost in self-confidence. Social situations can seem less daunting, and if you are smiling more, you could even see improvements to your mental and physical health, and productivity.
