Brush and floss your child’s teeth the easy way

| February 10, 2012

February is Children’s Dental Health Month! As a hygienist I see a lot of adults struggling to floss as their daily routine.

As we all know childhood habits follow us to adulthood so be sure to implement flossing in your child’s brushing routine.

The following brush and flossing video shows you how to properly brush and floss your child’s teeth.

A little tidbit I have learned is when flossing my kids it is easier if they lay on the ground with their chin up so that I can do it properly and they don’t complain (whine) of their neck hurting while you are flossing.

Bedtime routine is hard enough to get through without a fight so hopefully these tips help you to teach your child the importance of taking care of their teeth so they can develop good habits as adults.
