The Circus is in town at the Schottenstein Arena so tonight the circus elephants will be walking from the train, down Grandview Ave and right past our Columbus dental office. It is  a lot of fun to see these beautiful animals parade down the street.  Prada, the office dog, likes to remain safely on the sidewalk put still has to give her two cents worth with a “big dog bark”.  The elephants just ignore her and keep on walking but she feels like she has protected the property so it’s all good. Some of our staff members had an evening out at at The Candle Lab on Grandview Ave.  We chose our candle scents, poured our candles, and then went to Third and Hollywood for some refreshments while the candles set up.   The candle making was easy and so much fun and the “Wow!  experience” was when our Candles were delivered to us at the restaurant.  Candle scents chosen: Becky: Pinapple & Basil Shana: Blackberry & Tupelo Honey Kay: Olive Blossom & Awapuhi Misty: Lime & Verbena & Coconut The scents are real not artificial smelling and they smell wonderful while burning. We started our Smile Club Patient Rewards early in 2010 and we have been slowly ramping up the excitement.  The “marketing staff” here at Grandview Dental Care has been a little overwhelmed with the other hats she wears and fires to put out.  But we have secured some very fun tickets and there are more to come. Columbus Dentist donates an iPod nano to the GHMC Education Foundation Silent Auction. This Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 6:30 PM is the 19th Annual GHMC Gala at the Blackwell. Each year Grandview Dental Care trys to find something dental related to donate that will bring in nice donation to support the event.   We have found that electronics, mixed with a few toothbrushes, seems to do the trick.  So, this year’s gift basket contains a silver iPod Nano, toothbrushes, a Got Floss? t-shirt and a few other dental homecare items. Dr Bill and I attended a Death by Chocolate Party last night along with Dr. Hoellrich and his wife Melissa.  The party was hosted by fellow Columbus Dentist Dr. Stoner. The party was a great excuse to dress up fancy, eat chocolate, and have fun with other Columbus dentists.  You can see in the picture that I am holding on to a half eaten chocolate meringue “sandwich ” my personal favorite chocolate of the evening.  Today has been the “death by workout” in an attempt to work off some calories.
