We as Hygienists at Grandview Dental Care try to stay up all of the new dental products that hit the market for office use and for retail. Sometimes the amount of products is very overwhelming. Usually once a year I find a product that I love and recommend to all of my patients for them to try at home to help with their home dental care.
My new favorite product is Listerine Zero. It has been on the market for about 6 months. This product is a wonderful mouth rinse that helps kill gingivitis causing bacteria without the burn of the traditional Listerine. The reason being is that they did not add any alcohol to the product. The older versions of Listerine have a 20% alcohol content. Many people are sensitive to the alcohol or dislike the medicine burn it caused in the past.
So now you can rinse without the burn and know that you are killing the bacteria which will lead to a great check-up at the dentist.
