My name is Misty Wieging and I joined the office staff at Grandview Dental Care in April 2007. I was already a 20+ year patient of Dr. Thompson’s when I started working here.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time reading, camping, volunteering at a local prison and hanging out with my family.

I live in Grove City with my husband, Al. We have three children, Landon, Seth and Madeline.

How did you come to work at Grandview Dental Care?

I was a patient of nearly 20 years and was here with my youngest son having his teeth cleaned. Beth at the front desk asked me how my oldest son was doing and I told her he was starting college and I mentioned I was looking for a job to help get him through school. At the end of my son’s appointment Beth followed me to the door and asked if I would be interested in applying for a job here. It was a great appointment-my son had no cavities and I ended up getting the job!

What is your favorite inexpensive family activity in Columbus?

I love the Franklin Park Conservatory.

Where do you hope to travel to one day and why?

To Greece with my husband.  Have you seen pictures?–of Greece or my husband? They both look hot!

When you were in grade school what did you want to be when you grew up and why?  (if you can remember)

I wanted to become either a Teacher (because I love kids) or a Nuclear Medicine Radiologic Technician (because I thought it sounded cool and I read they make good money).

Favorite Animal?

My dog Milo.

What are you into?

Children’s storybooks. I own over 300 titles and my husband frowns on the fact that I still keep buying them even though our youngest child is 13! I am involved in a program called Aunt Mary’s Storybook Project. I take new storybooks into the prison and record the inmates reading to their children. The tapes and the books are mailed to the kids as a gift from the inmate. It is more fun than anyone should be allowed to have.  I love it!

What’s your favorite snack or comfort food?

I’m pretty sure I can live on bread alone.

What do you do when you aren’t at work?

Mostly laundry.

If you were going to splurge on something, what would you do or buy?

I would go on a great trip!
