Dr. Abraham Hoellrich is originally from Versailles, OH.  He attended Bowling Green State University and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2002.  After dental school, Dr. Hoellrich served for three years in the U.S. Navy.  While in the Navy, he also completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency and also a 6-month overseas deployment aboard the U.S.S. John F Kennedy.

Upon completion of his military service Dr. Hoellrich decided that Columbus was the place he wanted to be.  He has worked in several dental practices while trying to find the location and practice that would be the right “fit”. He is very excited to have found a dental office in Grandview!

Dr. Hoellrich lives in the Arena District with his wife Melissa.  When he isn’t helping his patients achieve optimal dental health he can usually be found trying out a new restaurant, strolling around downtown, or chasing a little white ball around the golf course.

Dr. Hoellrich also spends much of his time learning about the newest techniques and advancements in dentistry.  He attends many continuing education courses each year and spends much time learning, discussing, and even arguing about dentistry on a popular internet message board for dentists. What is an interesting place you have visited and why was it so interesting?

Dubai. Tall buildings as far as the eye can see.  Indoor ski slopes in the desert.

Where do you hope to travel to one day and why?

England.  I want to see all the stuff they borrowed (or stole, depending on your perspective) over all those years of empire.

What’s so great about dentistry?

The mix of art and science

When you were in grade school what did you want to be when you grew up and why?  (if you can remember)

Dentist!  Knocked my two front teeth out at 8.  Had to listen to the “All I Want for Christmas” song a million times.

What question do you hear the most from patients?

Is this going to hurt?  Of course not.

Why are you so cool?

I only use the other side of the pillow.
