I had to have new impressions taken because my front teeth not aligning as well as Dr Thompson thought they would at this point in my treatment. New aligners are on order, and my case will probably take a little longer then anticipated. I’m ok with that, since the front teeth are the most visible part of my smile and the primary reason I elected to do Invisalign. Many of you have probably seen the movie The Hangover where Ed Helms plays Stu Price a dentist with a rather controlling girlfriend.  During the festivities in the movie Stu pulls his own tooth to “show” his buddies that he is indeed a good dentist.  So, what happened to the tooth in real life? We had a Grandview area new patient call us the other day wanting to know if we accepted her Medicare Insurance.   We explained to her that Medicare doesn’t cover dental care and can only be used for a handful of dental related surgeries in a hospital setting.  She kept insisting that we accept her Medicare Insurance for dental care  that I decided to do a little investigation to make sure I was giving out the correct information. We just got back from a 3 night staff retreat at the Old Man’s Cave Chalet.  The entire staff and many of the staff spouses attended this relaxing and fun event.  We had a rib cookoff on the first night and the competition was fierce!  Al, Misty’s husband came in first and Kevin, Sarah’s husband came in a close second.  Regardless of who won we had enough ribs to last the entire trip!
